Best Robot Vacuum for Hardwood Floors
The eufy C28 Omni is my hardwood pick because its roller mop uses little residual water while keeping fresh and dirty water separate. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is better under low furniture.
Which robot vacuum is safest for hardwood floors?
The eufy C28 Omni is the best fit when vacuuming and mopping matter equally. Its HydroJet roller continuously receives fresh water and collects dirty water separately. Vacuum Wars measured strong stain removal with roughly one quarter of the residual water left by the average tested robot.
Choose the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 for low furniture and stronger carpet crossover. The Yeedi S20 Infinity is the bagless choice for buyers who want to stop purchasing dock bags.
| Product | Best for | Hardwood advantage | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|
| eufy C28 Omni | Vacuuming and mopping | Low residual water and strong pickup | 4.4-inch body |
| Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 | Low furniture | 3.14-inch height and strong edge reach | Small dustbin |
| Yeedi S20 Infinity | Bagless automation | Strong airflow and reusable dock bin | Weak dried-stain test |
Best overall: eufy C28 Omni

Hard floors are not difficult to vacuum. The differences appear around fine-debris scattering, edge reach and how much water the mop leaves behind. The C28 performed well across those jobs and uses a roller rather than dragging the same flat pad across the room.
The robot is tall, and its object avoidance was below average. Measure cabinet and sofa clearance before ordering.

Best under low furniture: Roborock Qrevo Edge 2

Retractable LiDAR brings the Edge 2 down to 3.14 inches. Its extending side brush and mop reach toward walls and cabinet toe kicks, where round robots often leave a strip.
Its dual spinning pads use eight newtons of pressure and lift 12 mm over carpet. Homes with thick rugs should still use no-mop zones rather than assuming the pads clear every pile.
Best bagless option: Yeedi S20 Infinity

The Yeedi pairs excellent vacuuming with a 1.6-liter reusable dock bin. Vacuum Wars measured unusually strong suction and airflow, complete pet-hair pickup and no long-hair wrap.
Its roller mop used too little water in the controlled dried-stain test, although everyday results were better. Buy it for vacuuming and bagless ownership first, not because it is the strongest stain scrubber.

Will a robot vacuum scratch hardwood?
A clean, undamaged robot should not scratch a properly finished floor. The greater risk is hard grit trapped beneath a wheel or mop pad. Check wheels, rollers and pads regularly, and remove sand before it can be dragged across the finish.
Use the lowest effective water setting on moisture-sensitive wood. Manufacturer compatibility claims do not override the flooring maker’s care instructions.
The annual maintenance guide covers replacement pads and filters. Measure clearance with the home-fit checklist before choosing a low-profile model.
