Which robot vacuum is best for pet hair?

The Dreame L60 Ultra PE is the strongest current choice for homes where fur ends up pressed into carpet. Vacuum Wars measured 100% pickup in its flattened pet-hair test, 94% in carpet deep cleaning and no wrap in its seven-inch hair test. Those three results answer the real pet question better than a large suction number does.

Choose the Shark PowerDetect if you do not want a mop. It has a self-cleaning brush roll, strong tested pickup and a bagless dock. The eufy C28 Omni is the value-minded combo pick when hard-floor mopping matters too.

Why the Dreame L60 Ultra PE wins

The Dreame’s tapered HyperStream DuoBrush funnels hair inward instead of giving it one long roller to wind around. Its dock can empty the small onboard bin between runs, wash and dry the mop pads and refill the water system.

Obstacle avoidance matters in a pet home for an uglier reason. The L60 Ultra PE avoided 21 of 24 objects in Vacuum Wars’ course, well above the test average. No robot gets a guarantee around pet waste, but this is more reassuring than a basic LiDAR machine that recognizes no small objects.

Buy it if: shedding pets share carpeted rooms with cables, toys and other clutter.

Skip it if: mopping performance matters more than vacuuming. Its controlled stain result was below average.

Best vacuum-only choice: Shark PowerDetect

The Shark avoids wet pads and mop-dock plumbing altogether. Its self-cleaning brush roll reduces hair maintenance, while the reusable dock bin avoids filling disposable bags with fur.

Independent testing found its pet score above the category average. Navigation and battery performance were less impressive, so it suits a medium-sized home where someone can clear small objects before a run.

Best value combo: eufy C28 Omni

The eufy C28 removed all of the short pet hair in Vacuum Wars’ test and recorded no wrap with seven-inch hair. Its roller mop continuously separates fresh and dirty water, which makes it a better fit for paw prints and hard-floor messes than the Shark.

Its obstacle system avoided 15 of 24 test objects, below the current average. The 300 ml bin is adequate, but heavy shedding still warrants frequent returns to the dock.

What matters most for pet hair?

Carpet contact and brush design matter more than the advertised Pascal figure. Look for a published pet-hair result on carpet, an anti-tangle roller and a dock that can empty between rooms. An onboard bin below 300 ml can clog in a heavy-shedding home unless the app allows frequent emptying.

Run the robot daily before loose fur gets walked into carpet. Check the side brush and roller bearings weekly even when the main brush claims to resist tangles.

Vacuum Wars’ pet-hair ranking and its Dreame L60 Ultra PE review support the comparative performance figures. The eufy C28 review supports its pickup, tangle, mopping and obstacle results. The Shark evidence comes from the same publication’s vacuum-only ranking. I have not personally tested these products.
